This pisses me off in Kenya !!!

Hey there, am writing from my comfortable seat and have for sometime been watching the events unfold at home. Really I only say if I had the power, take for instance when the crude oil was priced at above 140$, Kenyans I heard were paying 110 shillings .Today the barrel of crude oil is about 55$, well I did my quick translations and think Kenyans should be paying about 60 shillings a liter and yet no one is protesting .Is there a consumer association in Kenya?
Our MPs the other day passed on a motion, they do not want to pay taxes, a survey was done and people said they want the MPs to pay taxes, no one is protesting yet after the election fraud in January protests were everywhere.
When will Kenyans rise up to their rights? Only asking there are lots of things that do piss me off in Kenya and you?

What an idea !!!!!!

It’s with surprise and relief that I read the story that appeared on one of the newspapers the other day on settling the victims of the post election violence in the rift valley. Who ever came up with that idea is just brilliant (building villages to accommodate the victims in one place). Such villages exist in the west for easier provision of services and social amenities en plus there will be increased security in the long run, it’s nice to see that the people contributed towards the investment using the 10000 shillings they got as compensation from the government. Soon there will be people looking up to them with envy on their new life forgetting they are the ones who chased them from their farms and they might even go there to seek employment. Well I just say kudos for these people to have decided to start on with their lives.

A solution to our wages !!!

I have been thinking about this for a long time now , those in the USA have their hourly wage , not sure about the figure about 8 to 10 dollars an hour, those in the UK and the rest of Europe also earn on hourly rates , am proposing the same thing for kenya , imagine being paid 100 shillings per hour as a minimum pay ,( before taxes) with this most people could be living a comfortable life say the watchmen in nairobi could be making about 700 shillings for a day's work and those working at night being paid double the amount. The house helps too , imagine how this can change lives .For people working at a fish and ships stall in town the same rules apply and this way everyone can afford three meals a day and a decent living .Am waiting for your opinions on this

Double citizenship

How about this, the kenyan government should now adopt the double citizenship issue and then invite the president elect Barack Obama to get a Kenyan passport .By doing this he will not be needing a visa to come home , we shall also be reffering to him as a kenyan instead of talking about his kenyan roots .
